Your first step:  register here!

GETTING TO AND IN THE DOOR:

International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York takes place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center over 3 days -- March 5-7, 2017.  The education program, named The Ferdinand Metz Foodservice Forum, offers a number of sessions and events that are included with your registration; and they run the same three days of the event.

The Javits Convention Center is located at 655 West 34th Street (on 11th Avenue). The Javits Convention Center is 5 blocks long, running from West 34th Street to West 39th Street, so there are several entrances. Entering at the lower level or North end (at 37th Street) will bring you in on the level where the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York Registration Area is located. If you enter at the top or South end (at 34th Street) this will bring you into the Crystal Palace, or the main lobby of the Javits Center. If you enter at this location, simply walk down the stairs on the right hand side, which will bring you to our Registration Area.

Free Shuttle buses run back and forth from many hotels. Shuttle Bus pick up/drop off is at the North end of the Javits Center -- just outside the doors opposite our Registration Area. We recommend the free shuttle buses as a primary means of transportation for guests staying in the show hotels, or for transportation to the Times Square area of the City.

  • Taxis also drop off and pick up at the NORTH end of the Javits Convention Center. Note, however, that this is an informal line, not monitored by any staff or security. It can be very difficult to get a taxi from Javits back to midtown. The taxi line is opposite the Shuttle Bus drop off, closer to 11th Avenue.
  • Public Transportation is available and the fare for a subway or local bus is $2.50 (as of press time). The subways accept MetroCards, and Buses accept MetroCards and exact change. MetroCards are available for sale at the Javits Center. The Bus Stop is located at the Level 2 South Concourse entrance of the Javits Center. The nearest subway stops to the Javits Center/Penn Station are on 8th Avenue, 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue.
  • Attendee Parking is not available on-site at the Javits Center. Numerous public parking facilities are within a short walk of the convention center. The average rate is $50 per day. Please visit our Hotel/Travel page for any information regarding parking discounts.
    • Driving To The Show? Manhattan Parking Group offers convenient and affordable parking for Javits Center visitors. Located at 475 West 41st Street (MP41LLC - between 9th and 10th Avenues) just three blocks from the Javits Center. Pay just $12 for 10 hours … print the coupon here. Please call (212) 490-3460 ext. 12 for group rates or email at info@mpsparking.com for additional rate options. Visit them online at www.mpsparking.com.

Registration

  • Registration is located in the North Concourse. Going to the right location and/or standing in the correct line will ensure that you get onto the Show floor as quickly as possible.
  • If you pre-registered and received your "quick print" barcode confirmation via email: Be sure to bring this confirmation letter with you, and look for the "I have my Confirmation with Barcode" counters, located in the North Concourse.
  • If you are traveling to the show with a colleague who has not registered in advance:  Please direct them to stop at the "On Site Registration" counters. Acceptable forms of payment include major credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, American Express), cash or personal/company check.
  • FREE Show Directories are available at Badge Holder Pick Up, as well. This comprehensive directory provides an alphabetical listing of every exhibitor, booth number, general information, plus Exhibit Hall floor plans so you can easily navigate the exhibiting companies, and other valuable information for on site and post-show.

IMPORTANT LOCATIONS:

Here are some key locations in and around the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York that you'll find helpful:

General:

  • Show Office - Located on Level 1 of the Javits Center (one level below the Registration Area) in the meeting room across from the entrance to the Exhibit Hall. The Show Office is where you will find Show Management staff, including the Sales Team and Security.
  • Conference Office - Located on Level 1 of the Javits Center (one level below the Registration Area) in the meeting room next to the Show Office. You'll find the Conference Management team, as well as speakers, extra conference brochures, answers to questions regarding sessions, and other information related to the Conference here. All continuing education sessions take place in the hallway outside the Exhibit Hall.
  • The Business Center - A complete range of business services, including copying, faxing, and shipping is available in the Business Center, located in the Crystal Palace lobby of the Javits Center.

IT MAY SEEM SILLY...

...But this list of things to know, remember, or bring will be very helpful on site:

  • Extra Business Cards - It may sound obvious, but too often attendees don't bring a sufficient supply or forget them altogether! International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York is a tremendous networking opportunity - come prepared!
  • Download the Show Specials from the Shows Specials page and bring it with you to the Show so you won't miss any of the specials being offered on site by exhibitors or the great networking events.
  • Make Appointments in Advance - Having a pre-set schedule and sticking to it will help reduce the time you spend trying to get to the right individuals at busy booths.
  • Wear Comfortable Shoes - You'll be on your feet most of the day(s), and while we provide as many lounges and seating areas as possible, comfortable shoes are your best defense, particularly those with substantial soles or low heels, to cushion your feet from the concrete floors just below all the carpeting in the Exhibit Hall.
