The 2010 TY Awards Dinner will be held at the Tribeca Grill in New York City on Monday, March 1, 2010. 

This year we are truly honored to say Thank You to Alfred Portale of the one and only Gotham Bar and Grill.  He is known as a pioneer in the New American Cuisine movement.  Since 1985 he took Gotham to new heights with his beautiful plating and and insistence on high quality ingredients.  We will also take this opportunity to thank Pesetsky and Bookman, Attorneys at Law, as our corporate honorees for their continuous support of our industry. 

NYSRAEF will add Mr. Portale’s illustrious name to those who have been honored in the past.  Honorees such as Alex von Bidder and Julian Niccolini, Daniel Boulud, Sirio Maccioni, Julia Child, Food Network, Bobby Flay, Danny Meyer, Drew Nieporent, H. Herome Berns and Ferdinand Metz have made the TY Awards a much-anticipated event in our industry, and we are grateful for their continued support of this spectacular evening. 

Ever year proceeds from this event benefit The New York Restaurant Association Education Foundation’s (NYSRAEF) mission to serve as the preferred source of education, training and resources for the hospitality industries of New York.  NYSRAEF proudly supports programs such as ProStart, a school-to-career curriculum for high school students seeking a career in the hospitality industry, as well as ServSafe, the foodservice industry’s safe food handling standard, and ServSafe Alcohol, a beverage industry standard that teaches responsible alcohol service.  Your support of the TY Awards is critical to the continuation of these important industry-wide programs.
