Jake Dell
Jake Dell is the 5th generation owner of Katz’s Delicatessen, an iconic Jewish deli established in 1888. After growing up in the restaurant industry, Jake officially joined the family business in late 2009 and is currently in charge of all operations. He has worked to modernize the 135-year-old deli’s systems and processes while continuing to maintain the old world feel and taste for which Katz’s is famous. Most recently, Jake increased on-site catering options throughout the 5 boroughs, expanded shipping to include international reach and opened an outpost location in Brooklyn. Jake has a B.A. from Tufts University, an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, and was named to both Zagat's and Forbes' 30 Under 30 lists. Jake’s favorite meal is Pastrami on Rye (which he prepares himself), side of latkes, and Dr. Brown's black cherry or a chocolate egg cream.
